First edition of this fundraising cookbook published in America to aid British War Relief in 1940, featuring dozens of much-loved British favorites. This wonderful cookbook was compiled by Adelaide Owen, a Northern California artist who was committed to aiding the British war effort at home. The cookbook features a wealth of traditional British recipes–from the Isles and the colonies–as well as wartime adaptations. Interior fine, slight soiling and light wear to wrappers, top of comb binding slightly mis-wound. An extremely good copy.
